Kim led content partnerships for Twitter across APAC before joining Netflix in 2016 as one of the streamer’s first content execs based in Asia, building its slate of Korean original series and helping lead the creation of its Seoul office. As such, she and her team are responsible for one of Netflix’s biggest-ever hits: the global phenomenon “Squid Game.” Kim now oversees all licensed and original content from Asia Pacific (excluding India).Over the past year, she has been focused on ramping up a lineup of unscripted shows from Japan and original films from Korea. Among the scripted and film fare are “Squid Game 2” from Korea, “Girl From Nowhere” from Thailand and “The Naked Director” from Japan. Recent shows under her watch also include hit Korean series “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” Taiwanese horror “Incantation” and Thai drama series “School Tales.”
