Ahead of WME’s comedy division, Berkowitz did his part to get the live business up and running during the pandemic, orchestrating two of the biggest post-lockdown comedy tours for clients Bill Burr and John Mulaney. He also cut deals for stand-up specials for Nick Kroll, Ramy Youssef, Ricky Velez and Theo Von and built up client Sam Jay’s live touring business on the heels of her new HBO show “Pause.” Berko­witz came to WME in December 2017 from APA, bringing with him a starry collection of stand-up comedy talent including Amy Schumer, Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Kumail Nanjiani, Mike Birbiglia and Pete Davidson. Others on his roster include Fred Armisen, Jacqueline Novak, Marlon Wayans and Sarah Cooper.
