Ahead of WME’s comedy division, Berkowitz did his part to get the live business up and running during the pandemic, orchestrating two of the biggest post-lockdown comedy tours for clients Bill Burr and John Mulaney. He also cut deals for stand-up specials for Nick Kroll, Ramy Youssef, Ricky Velez and Theo Von and built up client Sam Jay’s live touring business on the heels of her new HBO show “Pause.” Berkowitz came to WME in December 2017 from APA, bringing with him a starry collection of stand-up comedy talent including Amy Schumer, Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Kumail Nanjiani, Mike Birbiglia and Pete Davidson. Others on his roster include Fred Armisen, Jacqueline Novak, Marlon Wayans and Sarah Cooper.
