President, Disney+ & ESPN+

When he was the person in charge of delivering Disney’s streaming apparatus to customers, Paull surpassed expectations with long-awaited VOD service Disney Plus. Launched in November 2019, it was projected to have 60 to 90 million subscribers by 2024, but by December 2020 it had already reached nearly 87 million, resulting in a new projection of 230 to 260 million. Now, he sits as president of the service and its sister streamer ESPN Plus. He first became CEO of the streaming tech startup BAMTech Media in Feb. 2017, and seven months later Disney acquired a majority stake in the company to power all its over-the-top services. Previously, Paull did a five-year stint as VP of digital video at Amazon, where he ran Amazon Channels worldwide and oversaw Prime Video and Amazon’s transactional VOD business in the U.S.
