Gendler

Partner

Gendler has a boutique practice, but his client list could inspire envy in the biggest of firms, packed as it is with high-profile actors (Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, John C. Reilly, Julianna Margulies); writers, directors and producers (David E. Kelley, Rob Marshall, Ed Solomon, Shawn Ryan, Kurt Sutter); and authors (Jenny Han, Daniel Silva). In recent months, he’s been particularly busy with writer-producer clients, closing a five-year extension for Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix deal, a four-year extension for Alex Kurtzman’s CBS Studios deal and setting up a new four-year Netflix pact for Courtney Kemp (“Power”). He set Chris Pine to star in Paramount’s “Dungeons & Dragons” and Miles Millar and Al Gough to create and showrun Netflix’s “Wednesday Addams” series, directed by Tim Burton.
