After becoming CEO of broadcasting giant ProSiebenSat.1 in 2018, Conze oversaw the launch of Joyn, a streaming-platform joint venture with Discovery that delivers local, European and U.S. content to German audiences. ProSiebenSat.1 boasts 45 million TV households through 14 free- and pay-TV channels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Its Red Arrow Studios, which comprises 20 production companies in seven territories, is a leading international creator and distributor of entertaining fare with a diverse slate that includes shows such as “Bosch,” “Married at First Sight” and “A League of Their Own.” At the 2019 Mipcom, Conze said he doesn’t fear the approaching invasion of new subscription streaming offerings. His intention remained to build an entertainment business that offers linear and digital content end to end. He stepped down from his position as CEO in March 2020.
