Legendary Entertainment
Mary
Parent
Vice Chairman, Worldwide Production
Legendary Entertainment is best known for big tentpole pictures, such as its new adaptation of Frank Herbert’s “Dune” and “Godzilla vs. Kong” (both releases delayed to 2021), but Parent has been nudging it into smaller high-quality projects including the recent period mystery “Enola Holmes” for Netflix, starring Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill. She’s developing a remake of the 1964 drama “Séance on a Wet Afternoon” and an adaptation of Leïla Slimani’s international bestseller “The Perfect Nanny.” But there’s still an ample supply of splashy genre fare in the pipeline, including a remake of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” Prior to joining Legendary in 2016, Parent was founder and CEO of Disruption Entertainment, where she earned a best picture Oscar nomination as one of the producers of “The Revenant.”
