Mark
Pedowitz

Chairman / CEO

Serving as president of the CW since 2011, Pedowitz was elevated to chairman and CEO in January 2020, reaffirming nearly a decade’s worth of programming cultivation at the ViacomCBS-WarnerMedia joint venture. He focused on shifting the network’s younger, female linear audience to one reaching a wider demographic, and more recently landed full in-season digital rights to new CW scripted series to keep viewers coming back to the network’s streaming platforms. On his watch, originals have surged to 18 annual scripted series, with “The Flash,” “Arrow” (now ended) and “Riverdale” boons for viewership, and continuous commitment to inclusion is marked by “Batwoman,” the first primetime series with an openly gay superhero.
