Bassetti’s Banijay Group merged with Zodiak in 2015 to become a pan-European production powerhouse with revenues of an estimated $1 billion. While Banijay, which owns Bunim/Murray Productions, is best known for producing top-rated reality formats such as MTV’s “Styl’D” and Oxygen’s “Love Games,” under Bassetti’s watch the company has successfully expanded into global drama, with shows such as “Versailles” and “Occupied.” Banijay has also ramped up its presence in local markets, especially in Italy, with the launch of Banijay Studios Italy. Before taking the helm of Banijay, he founded the Italian production company Ambra Multimedia, which Banijay acquired in 2013. Bassetti previously worked as president of Endemol Italy and president of Endemol Group.
