Shortly after founding Lollapalooza in 1991, he was named Executive Vice President of A&R, Marketing and New Media at Rick Rubin’s American Recordings. In 1994, Geiger launched ARTISTdirect, which grew to include a talent agency, two record labels, a marketing division, and popular website %u2013 of which he was Chairman and CEO before he joined William Morris Agency in 2003. Geiger is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego.
