Bernabei

CEO

Bernabei took over in 2013 as CEO of leading Italian producer Lux Vide, which was started by his father, Ettore Bernabei, a former director general of Italian broadcaster Rai. On his watch, Lux Vide has grown its reputation internationally. The “Devils” and “Medici: Masters of Florence” producer has managed to shoot six shows since coming out of lockdown, including the company’s biggest-budget project to date: “Leonardo,” starring Aidan Turner, and hit medical drama “Doc,” to which Sony Pictures Television acquired U.S. remake rights. A slate of international dramas is now in production, including “Devils 2,” a reboot of pirate story “Sandokan” and big-ticket series “The Rising of Jesus.” All this activity has caught the attention of Fremantle, which is reportedly in exclusive negotiations to buy Lux Vide.
