CEO
After building the “Medici” and “Leonardo” producer into an Italian production and development powerhouse, Bernabei in 2022 sold a 70% stake to European studio Fremantle. Rome-based Lux Vide has deals with Netflix, Amazon and Sky and ranks as Italian broadcaster Rai’s top scripted provider for the past five years, thanks to shows such as detective priest drama “Don Matteo,” now in its 13th season. This year’s scripted output includes season two of Sky Italia thriller “Devils” and Rai medical drama “Doc.” Lux Vide manages in-house production through its ownership of five state-of-the-art studios. Bernabei took over in 2013 as CEO of the company founded in 1992 by father Ettore, a former director general of Rai.
