Schwartz led another bold charge into the streaming wars in May 2019 with the launch of IFC Films Unlimited, an SVOD service featuring several hundred titles from its distribution labels IFC Films, Sundance Selects and IFC Midnight, including such award winners as “Y Tu Mamá También,” “The Trip,” “Two Days, One Night,” “45 Years” and “The Babadook.” She previously spearheaded development of the streamer Sundance Now, which debuted in 2014. Schwartz joined IFC Films in 2006 after serving as an SVP in the national distribution division of its parent company AMC Networks. Among her recent IFC Films acquisitions are Lynn Shelton’s comedy “Sword of Trust” and Australian period revenge tale “The Nightingale” from Jennifer Kent (following her IFC production “Babadook”).
