Nishimura oversees a diverse slate of mid-budget films and nonfiction programming for Netflix, ranging from sequels to rom-coms “The Kissing Booth” and “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” to Charlie Kaufman’s existential drama “I’m Thinking of Ending Things” to docs such as “Tiger King” and “Crip Camp.” A 13-year Netflix vet, she started with the company when it was still a DVD-driven business and went on to become its VP of original documentary and comedy programming, leading the development of acclaimed docuseries including “Making a Murderer” and “Wild Wild Country.” In March 2019, she was upped to vice president of original documentary and independent features.
