Embracer Group

Founder / CEO

With more than 200 games in development across 131 studios spread across over 40 countries, Wingefors’ holding company possesses an intense portfolio of IP that is made up of over 850 franchises it either owns or controls. In August, Embracer also became the new owner of Middle-earth Enterprises, the company managing media rights to “The Lord of the Rings.” With Warner Bros.’ domain over those rights ending the same year Amazon premiered “The Rings of Power” as the most expensive TV series of all time, this has positioned Embracer as a potential player in Hollywood — perhaps as an acquisition target itself.
