The last two years at Sony have been big for Belson, who previously headed up development at DreamWorks Animation. In 2018, she shepherded “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation,” which grossed over $528 million and became the studio’s all-time biggest animated film, as well as “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” earning SPA its first-ever Oscar (best animated film). Casting a wider net, she’s also developing adult-oriented animated projects, such as the Netflix series “Agent King” and Genndy Tartakovsky’s R-rated comedy “Fixed” and action-adventure “Black Knight.”
