President
Vernoff is proceeding in her multiyear overall deal with ABC Signature after her prodco re-upped with the studio in spring 2021. In that capacity, she runs both “Grey’s Anatomy” and
its spinoff, “Station 19,” ABC’s No. 1 and No. 2 scripted series in the 18-49 demographic. Working as the head writer on “Grey’s” for the first seven seasons, she returned to the medical drama as its showrunner in 2017 at the request of creator Shonda Rhimes herself. With no sign of stopping, “Grey’s Anatomy” began its 19th season in October, with a host of new characters at Grey Sloan Memorial. It remains the longest-running medical series in primetime history. Vernoff also has a drama thriller in development at Hulu based on the Ashley Elston novel “First Lie Wins.”
