McKinnon has been a tour de force since joining the cast of “Saturday Night Live” in 2012, but she has become indispensable since the 2016 presidential election with her portrayal of Hillary Clinton, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and just about every member of Trump’s administration, capturing them to astounding perfection. Born in Sea Cliff, New York, McKinnon broke into television in 2007 on Rosie O’Donnell’s “The Big Gay Sketch Show.” She has earned six Emmy nominations for her work on “SNL,” taking home trophies for supporting actress in a comedy series the past two years.
