Jonas Allen

Miso Film

Producer & Partner

Allen co-founded the Danish production company Miso Film with business partner Peter Bose in 2004. Together, the two have been driving the buzzy Nordic-noir TV trend ever since, with Allen in charge of the creative side and churning out high-end Scandinavian dramas such as “Wallander,” “Dicte” and “Those Who Kill,” remade in the U.S. by A&E in 2014 and now being rebooted in Danish. The company, which has been majority owned by Fremantle since 2013, has opened outposts in Sweden and Norway. More recently, it scored a commission for Netflix’s first Danish original, the post-apocalyptic series “The Rain,” for which season two has been greenlighted. On the film side, Miso’s next major feature is thriller “438 Days,” to be directed by Sweden’s Jesper Ganslandt.
