Get Lifted Film Company
John
Legend
His music warms hearts, as seen in his latest album, “Bigger Love,” dropped during the pandemic, but Legend — the rare EGOT winner — has been pouring love into increasingly big business projects. His Get Lifted Film Co. is expanding with productions ranging from the Netflix rap competition series “Rhythm + Flow” to the holiday feature “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Story” to the upcoming ABC series “Paper Gods,” based on the 2018 bestseller. He takes in between $50 million and $100 million a year from enterprises including music publishing, royalties, endorsements and even a Napa Valley wine brand, LVE (appropriately short for Legend Vineyard Exclusive). And yet the man who loves to show his softer side when judging “The Voice” or serenading wife Chrissy Teigen is consistently fearless when it comes to speaking out on social issues.
