Gore’s top priority has been getting the live theater industry up and running again after its longest shutdown in history. To build excitement, he increased the frequency and distribution of the John Gore Organization’s (JGO) nationally syndicated TV series “The Broadway Show,” which is now on the air weekly in 100 markets across the U.S. In August 2021, JGO subsidiary Broadway Across America restarted its national tours with a 40-performance run of “Wicked” at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, drawing 120,000 fans. Also in August, JGO launched the Black Theatre Coalition/Broadway Across America Fellowship Program, which will provide 10 14-week paid fellowships across the U.S. for across-the-board training in everything from marketing, PR and sales to accounting, venue management and ticketing.
