Rae

Rae is in the midst of a benchmark, yet bittersweet, era. In 2021, she said goodbye to “Insecure,” the Emmy-nominated HBO comedy she created, which wrapped its fifth and final season in June. But the multi-threat creator also inked a $40 million five-year overall deal extension with WarnerMedia in March, including her rebranded Hoorae production company launching the reality series “Sweet Life: Los Angeles” and starting production on her new show “Rap Shit” for HBO Max. The new series films in Miami with the rap duo City Girls aboard as producers, with Rae’s audio content company Raedio handling the music supervision. Rae also earned Emmy nominations as a guest star and executive producer for “A Black Lady Sketch Show,” which was nominated for outstanding variety sketch series two years running.
