Founder / CEO

A former illustrator and comic-book writer, Straffi is the creator of the “Winx Club” franchise, six trendy fairies who have bewitched tween girls in more than 130 countries and generated billions in both on TV and in books. In 2018, his Rainbow Group, which he founded in 1995 and which counts Viacom as a minority stakeholder, inked a major deal with Netflix to adapt the “Winx” franchise as a live-action YA series that will have the popular fairies turn into real teenagers. In 2015, Rainbow purchased the Vancouver-based animation studio Bardel Entertainment, which already produces several shows for Netflix, and in 2017 it acquired control of Italy’s Iven Group, made up of production company Colorado Film and talent agency Moviement.
