King powers the stalwart “CBS This Morning,” landing exclusive interviews and leading coverage of headlines pertaining to COVID-19, the systemic-racism protests and the 2020 presidential election, all while continuing to serve as editor-at-large of “O, the Oprah Magazine.” In 2019, Time honored her in its “100 Most Influential People,” and this year, King was featured in People’s “100 Reasons to Love America.” On TV, she handled a number of high-profile assignments, including moderating CBS News’ 2020 Democratic presidential debate in Charleston and hosting “The Gayle King Grammy Special” — where she went one-on-one with the likes of Blake Shelton and Lizzo — and “John Lewis: Celebrating a Hero.” She also leads a new regular weekly call-in show, “Gayle King In the House,” on SiriusXM.
