A household name in China’s showbiz scene, Fan Bingbing is a TV star and movie actress who was ranked number five in the Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid actresses in 2016, with an estimated earning of $17 million.
Fan first rose to fame in the late 1990s with her role in period drama “My Fair Princess”, which was a hit series across Asia. She went on to starring in many hit titles including “The Matrimony” (2007), “Buddha Mountain” (2011) and “Double Xposure” (2012). She is one of the most recognizable Chinese faces abroad thanks to her roles in international titles including “Stretch” (2011), Korean film “My Way” (2011) and 2014’s “X-Men: Days of the Future Past”.
Fan founded her own studio and produced a number of titles, most notably “The Empress of China” (2014), in which she played the leading role Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in Chinese history.
