Co-Founder / Producer
Puszczyńska, whose producing credits include BAFTA and Oscar winner “Ida” and triple Oscar nominee “Cold War,” has added a new shingle to her résumé, partnering with producer Klaudia Smieja and sales agent Jan Naszewski to form NEM Corp., hoping to take advantage of Poland’s 30 percent tax incentive. Her other prodco, Extreme Emotions, turned out the likes of Rezo Gigineshvili’s “Hostages,” which premiered in the Berlinale’s Panorama section, and Robert Schwentke’s “The Captain,” which bowed at San Sebastián. Ever prolific, Puszczyńska is currently backing “Fools,” directed by Berlinale Silver Bear winner Tomasz Wasilewski; an untitled Holocaust drama helmed by BAFTA nominee Jonathan Glazer; and “The Oven,” from director Jake Paltrow (yes, that Paltrow). She shares her expertise by lecturing at Lodz and Wajda film schools.
