Lemon

Journalist / TV Host

As he covers the biggest news stories around the world, the anchor of “CNN Tonight” makes it a priority to bring attention to the underrepresented. While highlighting the disproportionate effects of the coronavirus on people of color, he also called out misinformation spread by a consortium of politicians and pundits during the 2020 presidential election while striving to put names on the faces of victims stemming from racial violence, whose wrongful deaths have spurred civil unrest in the U.S. During a summer of related uprisings for justice, Lemon’s reach grew with the launch of his podcast “Silence Is Not An Option,” further expanding his forum to address issues regarding racism in America. He joined CNN in 2006 after bouncing around local markets and a stint as an NBC News correspondent.
