David
Leavy
Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
Leavy’s day-to-day responsibilities include oversight of everything from corporate communications to casting, and for that he was awarded a three-year contract extension in September, reaffirming his status as one of CEO David Zaslav’s key lieutenants at the recently merged Warner Bros. Discovery. He has plenty of history with Zaslav, having served at Discovery for 22 years. A former deputy press secretary for foreign affairs in the Clinton administration, Leavy has led the company’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as its ongoing fight to counter a proposed Polish law that would ban companies that are based outside the European Union from owning a Polish broadcaster, which could force it to sell its Warsaw-based network TVN.
