Fogelman

Fogelman says he brought studio execs to tears with a story idea for the sixth and final season of NBC’s “This Is Us,” which bows in 2022. That’s one way to measure the success of the time-shifting, multi-generational drama he created. Others are the consistently high ratings and the scores of critical honors it’s received, including 38 Emmy nominations for its first five seasons. But perhaps the biggest marker of its success is “Je te promets,” a French adaptation of the show that premiered in February 2021. Fogelman is also executive producer of Hulu’s comedy-mystery series “Only Murders in the Building,” starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, which premiered in August 2021 and earned a second-season renewal amid critical acclaim.
