Abrego
Chairman, Americas / President & CEO, Endemol Shine Holdings
One of the industry’s highest-ranking Latine C-suite execs, Abrego has been through a series of corporate mergers and restructurings and remains head of Banijay’s North American and Latin American operations. He has moved to revamp development operations on the West Coast to include English- and Spanish-language content. Banijay’s purchase of Endemol Shine should quiet any uncertainty around the company and Abrego’s status. Now the reality-TV vet’s challenge is to use Banijay’s vault and resources to develop new franchises for two huge markets: the U.S. and Latin America. He recently struck a deal with producer Marie Leguizamo, sister of comedian John Leguizamo, to lead an unscripted production studio in Mexico. In December 2020 he was elected chair of the Television Academy Foundation.
