McCarthy
President & CEO, Paramount Media Networks / Chief Content Officer, Unscripted Entertainment & Adult Animation, Paramount+
McCarthy has risen fast in Bob Bakish’s Paramount Global, emerging as the CEO’s key lieutenant — and handed the company’s biggest problems. In October, the sizable operation of Showtime Networks came under his purview, which already includes MTV, VH1, Comedy Central and Paramount Network. McCarthy has nurtured the Taylor Sheridan universe of dramas and scored with CBS’ revival of “The Challenge,” but his 2023 to-do list includes finding a new nexus for Comedy Central with Trevor Noah bowing out.
