Broke And Bones

In January 2020, Brooker and his business partner Annabel Jones, best known for creating and producing the dystopian anthology series “Black Mirror,” quit their prodco House of Tomorrow, which was owned by Endemol Shine. Banijay Group then bought Endemol Shine and obtained the rights to “Black Mirror.” In February, the five-time Emmy winners set up their new production banner, Broke And Bones, and a few months later Netflix invested in it, maintaining the option to fully absorb it at some point. The pair have been recruiting staff such as former Channel 4 comedy commissioner Jon Petrie as its leader for comedic content. With lockdown granting him idle time, Brooker returned to one of his previous creations, the bitingly satirical news show “Wipe,” to make a pandemic special for the BBC, titled “Charlie Brooker’s Antiviral Wipe.”
