President / Producer

Gillibert earned critical kudos for Leos Carax’s musical “Annette,” which won the best director award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021, and Mia Hansen-Løve’s relationship drama “Bergman Island.” But the year’s most significant event for the producer was when he partnered with French financier Alexis Dantec to acquire Les Films du Losange, a 59-year-old production, distribution and sales company with an auteur-rich catalog of over 150 films, such as French New Wave classics by Éric Rohmer and Jacques Rivette and features by Lars von Trier, Agnieszka Holland and Chloé Zhao. His current production slate includes Pietro Marcello’s romantic drama “Scarlet,” adapted from a novel by the Russian writer Alexander Grin, due for release in 2022.
