Cesar
Conde

Chairman, News Group

Conde has been turning up the tempo of digital activity at NBC News since taking the helm last year of the division that had been through a seemingly endless series of scandals under his predecessor, Andy Lack. As part of that, he revved up the focus on innovative ways to present and package content derived from NBC News’ extensive newsgathering infrastructure. In July, NBC News said it would hire as many as 200 people to staff digital play NBC News Now. NBC News and MSNBC are also key content pillars of NBCUniversal’s fledging Peacock streamer. In December 2020, Conde steered a big management transition at MSNBC when Rashida Jones was named successor to Phil Griffin, who stepped down after 14 years as president in February 2021.
