As a result of WarnerMedia’s greater corporate restructuring in August 2020, Bloys has vastly expanded his purview to include not just oversight of HBO’s highly regarded prestige programming, but original content at new streaming service HBO Max and linear networks TNT, TBS and truTV, encompassing an endless catalog of scripted and unscripted series, specials and docs. The longtime HBO exec, who has been with the company since 2004, is overseeing a cabler that raked in 107 Emmy nominations in 2020, including for scripted hits “Big Little Lies,” “Euphoria,” “Insecure,” “Succession” and “Watchmen.” Bloys worked his way up at the company, formerly director of development at HBO Independent Productions.
