Under Marshall’s leadership, Warner Chappell developed and launched platforms to support its writers, including an in-house royalties collection app and a new means for songwriters to benefit from livestreaming. The company also acquired the Grateful Dead, Duran Duran and Gene Autry Music Group catalogs. She and co-chair Guy Moot responded to COVID-19 through several efforts, including DJ showcases and a series of virtual songwriting camps with global attendance from writers and producers. In the wake of George Floyd’s death, Marshall and Moot organized an open discussion on racial injustice in the U.S., not only to hear employees’ concerns but to generate ideas of how Warner Chappell can be a part of the solution.
