Chairman

For the past half-decade, Mackintosh has been a prolific stage producer, with massive hits on the West End, Broadway and worldwide, including revered shows “Cats,” “Les Misérables,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Sweeney Todd,” “Kinky Boots,” “Mary Poppins” and “Hamilton.” But as the coronavirus closed his eight London theaters, Mackintosh found himself lobbying the government and the industry to find a way through to reopening. He scored a small victory and was granted a socially distanced, reduced-capacity run of “Les Misérables: The Staged Concert” at his Sondheim Theatre in London, which will start after the city’s lockdown lifts. He also owns leading theatrical licensing agency Music Theatre International.
