Larson

Larson kicked off the year with Warner Bros.’ “Just Mercy,” the critically acclaimed true-life drama starring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan. She also earned her first Emmy nomination (and win) for viscerally unsettling “The Messy Truth VR Experience,” which she starred in and produced. But the series wasn’t Larson’s only foray into the digital space, with the Oscar winner (2015’s “Room”) launching a YouTube channel for her personal videos and stories, as well as an Instagram Live series in response to the pandemic, which zeroes in on female-owned small businesses, calls for social justice reform and conversations about mental health. The “Captain Marvel” star, who signed with Apple to headline a CIA series, is also gearing up to reprise her superhero role in the sequel, set for a late 2022 release.
