Bajaria has had a busy 12 months following her promotion to head of all TV content in September 2020. Breakout series like “La Casa de  Papel” and “Squid Game” are key to her strategy of finding hits from the 40 markets around the world in which Netflix currently produces content. Shonda Rhimes’ “Bridgerton” being a U.S.-based smash also helps justify Netflix’s enormous outlay on producer deals in recent years. Bajaria exerted her influence with a top-to-bottom reorganization of the TV content team unveiled in October 2020 to emphasize a global perspective on content, talent and dealmaking. She has been active in recruiting new producers (Courtney A. Kemp, Dan Levy) with overall deals more modest than the nine-figure scale of the streamer’s deals a few years ago.
