The “Star Wars” alum recently appeared in Ridley Scott film “The Last Duel” alongside Matt Damon, Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck, which has already attracted Oscar buzz following its October 2021 release via 20th Century. Driver’s relationship with Scott continued through November via the director’s highly anticipated biopic, “House of Gucci,” which cast Driver opposite Lady Gaga in another awards contender that has magnetized paparazzi and fans alike. The actor previously showed off his comedy chops as well in 2020 by hosting “SNL” for a third time and also participating in a running gag on “Last Week Tonight” in which he appeared alongside John Oliver after the host made repeated sexual references about Driver, which was later called back to on the Emmys stage.
