Prior to joining Variety, Caroline Framke was a staff writer at Vox with a focus on gender, sexuality, and power dynamics in pop culture and beyond. In 2018, she was the runner-up for TV Critic of the Year at The Los Angeles Press Club’s National Entertainment Journalism Awards. Her work has also appeared on NPR, The A.V. Club, Salon, and The Atlantic. She is a graduate of Smith College, a keen seltzer enthusiast, and a big fan of TV that's smart, strange, and self-aware. Like every other New York member of the media, Framke is currently based in Brooklyn.
