Brendan Kelly has been writing about the Canadian film and television business for <I>Variety</I> since 1993. He also writes about entertainment for The Montreal Gazette and is a regular contributor on cultural matters to CBC Radio in Canada. Kelly has also written for the Los Angeles Times, The (Toronto) Globe and Mail, Flare, En Route, and Chatelaine. Born in Glasgow, Kelly moved with his family to Montreal in the summer of 1967, just in time for Expo 67. Given his Scottish/Canadian roots, Kelly's passions include the classic stand-up comedy albums of Glaswegian funnyman/actor Billy Connolly and the exploits of his hometown heroes, the Montreal Canadiens hockey club.
