Netflix’s “Inventing Anna” picked up steam post-premiere, jumping to No. 1 on Nielsen’s Top 10 streaming rankings in its second week after launching on Netflix.

The Julia Garner-led limited series from Shonda Rhimes ended up tripling its audience to 3.3 billion minutes watched during the week of Feb. 14-20 compared with the 1.2 billion minutes it drew in its debut week, when it landed at No. 4 on Nielsen’s streaming chart.

“Inventing Anna” follows a journalist (Anna Chlumsky) with a lot to prove, who investigates the case of Anna Delvey (Garner), the Instagram-legendary German heiress who stole the hearts of New York’s social scene — and stole their money as well. But is Anna New York’s biggest con woman or is she simply the new portrait of the American dream? Anna and the reporter form a dark, funny love-hate bond as Anna awaits trial and our reporter fights the clock to answer the biggest question in NYC: who is Anna Delvey? The series is inspired by the New York Magazine article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by Jessica Pressler.

In second place on Nielsen’s chart for the week of Feb. 14-20 was “Love Is Blind” with 1.4 billion minutes watched, followed by “Encanto” on Disney Plus with 1.2 billion. “Ozark” was No. 4 with 1.1 billion and Amazon Prime Video’s “Reacher” in fifth, slipping from its No. 1 slot the week before, with 935 million.

The rest of the Top 10 overall streaming programs were made up of, in order: “Sweet Magnolias” on Netflix (898 million), “NCIS” on Netflix (856 million), “Cocomelon” on Netflix (661 million), “Criminal Minds” on Netflix (647 million) and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” which launched its fourth season Feb. 18 on Amazon Prime Video, in 10th place with 499 million minutes watched.
