Millie Bobby Brown to Star in Film Series Based on Enola Holmes Novels

Legendary Entertainment has closed a deal for “Stranger Things” actress Millie Bobby Brown to star in a film series based on Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes Mysteries novel series.

Brown will also produce through her PCMA Productions banner.

The book series began with the 2006 title “The Case of the Missing Marquess” and covered six novels, revolving around mysteries investigated by Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola.

Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes will oversee the project for Legendary.

Brown broke out as Eleven in the Netflix series “Stranger Things,” which earned her an Emmy nomination. Legendary was quick to land Brown in “Godzilla: King of Monsters,” her first major role following “Stranger Things,” and after that, immediately began looking for other projects at the studio for the young actress.

Brown was most recently seen in Season 2 of “Stranger Things.” It’s likely that Season 3 of the series will be what she shoots next. The sci-fi horror series has been a runaway hit for Netflix, with the cast nabbing a SAG Award for best ensemble in a drama series last year. SAG also nominated Brown in the supporting actress category for her performance.

Brown is repped by WME. The news was first reported by Deadline Hollywood.
