Alex Rodriguez, Christiane Amanpour, Others Added to SXSW Speaker Lineup

South by Southwest Conference and Festivals has announced additions to its 2018 Featured Speakers Lineup including former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and CNN chief international correspondent Christiane Amanpour.

Vox editor-at-large Ezra Klein, political strategist and commentator Symone Sanders, entrepreneur and venture capitalist Peter Thiel, music producer Young Guru, Forerunner Ventures founder Kirsten Green, James Beard Award-winning TV Personality Andrew Zimmern, Aspen Institute CEO/President Walter Isaacson, and serial entrepreneur Loic Le Meur, have also been added. Wendy Williams, Daniel Glass, Matthew Libatique, Snehal Patel, Ted Leo, Money Mark,  Molly Neumann, and many more will also speak.

Hugh Forrest, Chief Programming Officer at SXSW, said that “this diverse and dynamic group of speakers represents many of the burgeoning trends we see coming out of SXSW in 2018. From leaders in blockchain and AI ethics to supporters of women’s rights around the world and more,” he continued, “we’re excited to showcase more of the exciting ideas that make our event the foremost destination for creative people.”

SXSW, which will take place March 9-18, 2018, recently announced the addition of Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, to the Keynote lineup, which includes previously announced speakers Darren Aronofsky (Film Keynote), Ta-Nehisi Coates (Convergence Keynote), Barry Jenkins​ (Film Keynote), Esther Perel ​(Interactive Keynote), and Whurley ​(Convergence Keynote).
