TV News Roundup: Showtime Releases ‘Shameless’ Season 8 Trailer

In today’s roundup, Showtime releases the trailer for Season 8 of “Shameless” and announces the world television premiere of “Black Sabbath” The End of the End.”

FIRST LOOKS

Showtime has released the trailer for Season 8 of Shameless.” The clip highlights the Gallagher family’s typical zaniness with peeks of some wild new moments. Watch the trailer here. The season premieres on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 9 p.m. 

PREMIERE DATES

Showtime will air the world television premiere of Black Sabbath: The End of the End” on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 9 p.m. The film showcases Black Sabbath’s final concert in Birmingham, England, the band’s hometown, and features behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with band members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler.

AMC Networks‘ streaming services Sundance Now and Shudder, in collaboration with The Paragon Collective, have announced the premiere of “Deadly Manners,” a fictional murder mystery podcast with a comedic twist. The 10-part podcast, featuring Kristen Bell, Anna Chlumsky, Denis O’Hare, and RuPaul, will premiere its first three episodes ad-free on Tuesday, Oct. 3. AWARDS

The 33rd annual Boston Film Festival wrapped on Sunday, Sept. 24, and the winners have been announced. “Damascus Cover” swept the awards with six wins: Best Film, Best Director, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, and Best Ensemble cast. The movie made its world premiere at the festival.
