Jeffrey Katzenberg, Snap chief Evan Spiegel and Liberty Global’s Mike Fries are among the five new members appointed to the Paley Center for Media’s board of trustees.

Peggy Johnson, exec VP of business development at Microsoft, and LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner are also joining the panel, which now includes 52 members. Sumner Redstone, Viacom and CBS Corp. chairman emeritus and chairman of National Amusements, has shifted to trustee emeritus status after 21 years on the Paley board.

“The Paley Center offers the most exciting, distinctive, and cutting-edge programs that inspire thoughtful and informative discussion, and we look forward to the counsel each of our new members will provide to the Paley Center,” said Maureen Reidy, president-CEO of Paley Center. “A special thanks to Mr. Sumner Redstone for his service to our Board of Trustees and we look forward to his continued support as Trustee Emeritus.”

Redstone’s joins a select group of 16 media and entertainment notables who have earned Paley trustee emeritus status. The list includes Barbara Walters, Norman Lear, Alan Alda, Bob Wright, Gordon Crawford, and Joan Ganz Cooney.
