Kendrick has started in the newly-created VP position, joining from BBC Worldwide. She reports to Ana Langenberg, the former Endemol executive who joined NBCU earlier this year to oversee its international formats business.
Kendrick will be based in London and cover Northern Europe and French Canada. Her role encompasses format sales and production, and developing other commercial lines around NBCU’s shows.
NBCU’s new recruit was in Cannes this week at the Mipcom programming market where the company had formats including “World of Dance,” and “Making It,” from its new U.S. Alternative Studio. It also has the “Real Housewives” format and titles including “Top Chef,” and “Saturday Night Live,” in the catalog.
NBCUniversal confirmed Kendrick has joined the company. At BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, she was head of global format sales and worked on shows including “Bake Off,” “Top Gear,” and “Strictly Come Dancing.”
BBC Worldwide said it will not directly replace Kendrick, but has restructured the team in the wake of her departure to cover her responsibilities.
