NBC is developing a drama series from writers and executive producers Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, Variety has learned.
Titled “Life After,” the series is described as an emotional character drama of six friends who, each winter, spring, summer, and fall, bond and retreat together from their lives and careers, which are forever linked by a life-changing event from their past.
In addition to Charmelo and Snyder, Danielle Claman Gelber of Acoustic Productions will also executive produce. Universal Television, where Gelber has a first-look deal and Charmelo and Snyder have an overall deal, will produce.
Charmelo and Snyder serve as consulting producers on NBC’s “Midnight, Texas.” They also created the CW series “Ringer” starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, and co-executive produced and wrote for CW’s long-running drama “Supernatural.”
This is Gelber’s second development project under her Acoustic Productions banner for NBC this season. The other is “Long Distance,” with executive producers Kerry Ehrin and Freddie Highmore. She has previously served as an executive producer on “Chicago P.D.,” “Chicago Med,” and “Chicago Fire.”
Charmelo and Snyder are repped by UTA, the Shuman Company, and attorney Jamie Mandelbaum. Gelber is repped by Jared Levine at Morris Yorn.
