Lindsey Stirling may have to make an early exit from this season of “Dancing With the Stars” following a rib injury.

According to TMZ, Stirling was rehearsing a dance move on Sunday when she hurt herself and had to be rushed to the hospital. She suffered a blunt rib injury and possible separation, and reportedly is in such intense pain that her participation in Monday’s live episode of the competition is uncertain.

A spokesperson for ABC confirmed that Sterling has suffered a rib injury. However, the network does not yet know whether Stirling will be able to compete tonight or continue in this season’s competition. If Stirling is unable to perform on Monday, she will be disqualified as per the rules of the show. Stirling is currently the favorite to win the Mirrorball and received a perfect score for her last performance.

“I’m going to be so mad if I’ve blown it. We’ve worked so hard,” Stirling said in a video obtained by TMZ. “I push, push, push all the time; it’s how I’ve gotten to where I’m at. But I’m just so afraid that I might have pushed too far.”

Stirling rose to fame as a contestant on “America’s Got Talent” in 2010 with her routine of dancing and playing the violin, and although she did not win the competition, she eventually got a record deal and is currently scheduled for a U.S. winter tour.
