In today’s roundup, Kelly Clarkson will advise on Season 13 of “The Voice,” and Showtime offers a sneak preview of “SMILF.”


Kelly Clarkson is set to join NBC’sThe Voice” as a key adviser for the Season 13 Knockout Rounds beginning Monday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. As a key adviser, Clarkson will mentor the remaining 32 artists with coaches Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. As previously announced, Clarkson will coach on Season 14 alongside Alicia Keys, Levine, and Shelton.

Hallmark Channel announced its holiday season “Countdown to Christmas” programming. The first of 21 new movies kicks off Saturday, Oct. 28 with the premiere of “Marry Me at Christmas.” Throughout the season, films will star Candace Cameron Bure (“Fuller House”) and Lacey Chabert (“Mean Girls”), Catherine Bell (“Army Wives”), Lori Loughlin (“Fuller House”), Alexa PenaVega (“Spy Kids”), and Jodie Sweetin (“Fuller House”). Showtime is releasing “SMILF” early, ahead of its on-air debut Sunday, Nov. 5 at 10 p.m. Starting Monday, viewers can watch the first episode for free on YouTube, Facebook and on Showtime’s website. At the end of the episode, Showtime is airing a sneak peek of the Season 8 premiere of “Shameless.” “SMILF” follows series creator Frankie Shaw as Bridgette Bird, a young single mom who tries to navigate motherhood with her unconventional family.


GSN has named Fran Shea executive vice president of programming and marketing for GSN TV. In her new role, Shea is responsible for overseeing all aspects of GSN TV programming and marketing, including in-house production, acqusitions, development, network branding, and message to viewers. Additionally, she is working closely with the advertising sales and distribution teams to promote GSN to clients. Shea is based in the company’s Santa Monica office and reports to CEO Mark Feldman.
