ABC‘s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” returns to Brooklyn for five original shows on Oct. 16-20. “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Back to Brooklyn” will welcome guests Billy Joel, David Letterman, Tracy Morgan, Amy Schumer, and Howard Stern to the show as well as Letterman’s former “Late Show” bandleader, Paul Shaffer, who will sit in with house band Cleto and The Cletones each night. Musical guests will include LCD Soundsystem, Cardi B, Billy Joel, and a special performance from the Tidal X show at Barclays Center. More guests and musical performers will be announced soon.
History‘s “The Curse of Oak Island,” will return for Season 5 on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. ET. The show follows brothers Rick and Marty Lagina along their quest solve the 222-year-old Oak Island mystery. The brothers will reach new depths in their search to discover what they believe to be the Money Pit, a 160-foot hole initially found by three teenage boys in the late 1700’s, which many believe is hiding extremely valuable items.
Fox Inclusion announced that the Fox Writers Lab (FWL) has begun accepting applications for its 2018 program. FWL’s four-month curriculum will develop experienced and budding writers from diverse backgrounds for potential staffing as writers and/or story editors on Fox productions. Eight writers will be selected and tasked with refining and rewriting the original pilot script they submitted during the application process. One of the chosen writers will be named the 2018 FWL Fellow and win a blind script deal with Fox Broadcasting Company. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 22.
